What really brings a person to kill?

There is something missing a person's life who seeks to take life from others. Almost without fail, unless some mmk ultra ship is sailing there, a person about to kill needs a huge dose of love. Just imagine if the killer was approached by his old wrestling coach say, who he respected and loved like a loving father in high school. Could have broken him and caused a derailment in the young man's intense hatred. Just one word of love sometimes from any given person can take the sting out of someone pain and hurting heart and cause immediate peace and change in the heart.

I've seen some code red crazies in my life get broken like a wild angry horse when love pierced their heart. They break, they wail, they sob, they mourn their sin, they are filled with the good sorrow and with mercy, they can be healed. The law of love at work is an amazing thing to witness. Love cures hate.

What else would possess a young man to do something this evil other than deep seated hate? Hate and love are at war and have been on our planet since the the beginning. Humans are a true paradox. With the same tongue we both bless and curse people. With our minds we think, with our hearts we act. Whatever we are taught to think, we think as such, and thus we act from such thinking. How we think and what we think are directly related to how we live our lives. This young man was brought to a place in his thinking, that killing was the only solution to his pain. He abandoned all hope and had no hope.

The heart of man deceitful more than any thing, and is desperately wicked, who can understand it. ~ Jeremiah 17:9

Aren't you in some huge way bothered deeply by the fact that we have this legacy of evil within ourselves as humans, and how it shamefully marks our legacy? It's rather sobering when you think about it, how we all share this nature and this awful propensity for hatred. It's really depressing actually.

But the answer exists of course. It is LOVE. Love is the answer. Love heals. It regenerates the heart of hurting people, causing love to be duplicated by the one who receives it. Love is contageous. Love is alive don't you know! It could be said that the eyes of Love roam to and fro upon the earth seeking those who are broken in spirit, seeking to restore and reconcile them to itself. This young man was hurting over something huge, so much, that he killed his own parents and innocent young children who provoked no one to anger. These children died as a result of one man's hatred for himself, his parents and life as it were. He had abandoned all hope and girded himself in hate for this occasion, acting in that hate to do great evil, completely devoid of mercy, complete disdain for life.

It is not hard for me to understand why kids today are growing up full of hate at alarming rates. They are missing out on good loving at home, that necessary bonding and sacrificial love that only the parent can give. Homes and families are riddled today with hate-filled houses. TV has replaced thousands of hours of bonding and love over a child's life. Husbands playing golf all weekend and pleasuring themselves with all available numbing agents, and leaving their kids on X box and sugar diets laced with drugs and sexual perversion, every day of their youth. A few years passes, and a parent completely misses that window of necessary bonding to secure the parent/child love relationship past the teenage years into adulthood. But nope.. Instead, the youth today inoculates himself with the noise of unending hypnotic eye and ear candy, when they should be spending time enjoying each other as a family and cultivating love in the family unit.

Love simply cures hate. I know this as fact. We all know it. That's why community and family are the backbone to a good society, because love thrives in community and within a family unit. You destroy the family unit with divorce, betrayal, lying, adultery, media, hate radio, and every other systematically designed distraction meant to dissolve family love and the love of community, and you destroy a nation, a planet. The family is serious business, and the obvious decline in the once thriving vibrant family unit in America is unmissable.

"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails." ~ 1 Corinthians 13
