UFC on FX 5 Browne vs. Silva official, Tickets available this week

Travis Browne and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva are set to square off in the main event of UFC on FX 5. Promotion officials confirmed the heavyweight clash which will be competed over fight rounds on Friday, October 5th in Minneapolis.

The undefeated Browne (13-0-1) has notched 4 wins inside the octagon since joining the UFC. He is coming off a first round submission win over Chad Griggs at UFC 145. Silva (16-4) will be making his second UFC appearance after previously competing for Strikeforce. During his tenure in Strikeforce, Silva defeated Fedor Emelianenko and Andrei Arlovski. In addition the Browne vs. Silva bout, the following match-ups are also confirmed for UFC on FX 5.

• Matt Mitrione vs. Rob Broughton
• John Dodson vs. Jussier Formiga
• Josh Neer vs. Justin Edwards
