It didn’t take long for welterweight Paul Daley to prove Bellator’s intelligence in bringing him on board when “Semtex” made his promotional debut last month, stopping seasoned opponent Rudy Bears with strikes midway through their bout’s opening round of action. The TKO marked Daley’s 21st in thirty total victories. Daley will look to repeat the feat this November 2 at Bellator 79 when he makes his follow-up appearance in the organization.
In addition to announcing Daley’s presence on the card, Bellator also revealed bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas would defend his belt at the show in addition to Canadian finisher Ryan Ford seeing action earlier in the evening. No opponents have been named for Daley or Ford. Meanwhile, Dantas will face the winner of this weekend’s Bellator 74 bout between tournament finalists Marcos Galvao and Luis Nogueira.
Daley holds an overall record of 30-12-2 including wins over Jorge Masvidal, Luigi Fioravanti, Duane Ludwig, and Martin Kampmann.

Comparably, the Nova Uniao-trained Dantas is 14-2 and on a seven-fight winning streak, while the 18-4 Ford has stopped seventeen of the opponents he’s beaten.
