Champion Luke Rockhold Out of Strikeforce Title Fight

Strikeforce Luke Rockhold

And then there was one, as in only one champion who will be fighting in Strikeforce’s November 3rd card. According to MMAFighting, middleweight champ Luke Rockhold (Pictured) has suffered a wrist injury that will force him out of the show’s co-featured attraction against Lorenz Larkin.

No word on how long Rockhold will be riding the pine or what the promotion intends to do with Larkin.

This marks the second significant hit to the lineup. Heavyweight Grand Prix champion Daniel Cormier was set to headline the festivities opposite Frank Mir, but the former two-time UFC champion had to bow out with an injury of his own.

Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma hosts the festivities.

Showtime will broadcast the main bouts beginning at 10PM ET/PT.

Here is the depleted card’s current roster:

Lorenz Larkin vs. TBD

Daniel Cormier (Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix champion) vs. TBD

Sara McMann vs. Liz Carmouche

Tim Kennedy vs. Trevor Smith
