A welterweight clash between Corey Hill and Ryan Thomas has been announced as the co-main event for XFC 21: Night of Champions II on December 7.
The main card of XFC 21: Night of Champions II, which takes place from the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Tennessee, will be televised live on AXS.TV
Thomas and Hill both enter the bout on two fight winning streaks. Hill (6-4) has recorded back-to-back first round submission wins in his last two outings. This includes a brabo choke win over Charlie Rader at XFC 15 back in December 2011. Thomas (14-7) has won all 14 of his career fights by stoppage with 5 coming by knockout and 9 by submission. He also competed at XFC 15 where he submitted John Kolosci in the first round.
XFC President John Prisco commented on the match-up, “These guys are both strong wrestlers, and have proven they can submit guys from just about any position. I think it’s only a matter of moments after the opening bell before we have them rolling on the mat looking for the submission win.”
XFC 21: Night of Champions II will be headlined by a lightweight championship fight that matches Eric Reynolds against Nick Newell.
