Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Fabricio Werdum to Coach ‘The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 2′

UFC Heavyweight Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira

According to Brazilian website GloboEsporte, former UFC heavyweight champ Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (Pictured) and Fabricio Werdum will serve as opposing coaches on “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 2.”

If the report holds true, this would mark Nogueira’s second stint on the reality show. Big Nog lead Ryan Bader and Efrain Escudero to six-figure UFC contracts on TUF 8.

In regards to his day job, Nogueira has alternated between wins and losses over his past seven scraps. He was last seen submitting Dave Herman at UFC 153 in front of his Brazilian brethren.

Wedrum is victorious in both of his Octagon bouts since returning to the UFC. The former Strikeforce star made his claim to fame by snapping Fedor Emelianenko’s 27-fight winning streak in June 2010.

Light heavyweights Lyoto Machida and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua had also campaigned for the mentoring gigs, but it appears UFC officials decided to go in a different direction.

The third international installment of the long-running reality series features lightweight and welterweight hopefuls.

This marks the second time TUF has taken its talents to jiu jitsu country. Rony “Jason” and Cezar “Mutante” Ferreira claimed their respective tournaments in the inaugural season of “TUF: Brazil.” Wanderlei Silva and Vitor Belfort served as rival coaches.
