The Fight Cancellation Curse has struck down upon UFC 153 yet again.
This time it has taken out heavyweight newcomer Geronimo dos Santos, who was slated to face off with Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC 153.
The UFC made the announcement of the big man’s removal, but did not reveal the cause.
UFC 153 is set to take place next week on October 13 from the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In the pay-per-view main event UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva is moving up in weight on three-week’s notice to fight Stephan Bonnar.
Gonzaga currently has no replacement opponent.
