Travis Browne Tore Hamstring During TKO Loss to Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva

UFC Travis Browne

Travis Browne (Pictured) not only suffered his first professional loss last Friday, but the heavyweight also tore his left hamstring in the opening minutes of his 1stRound TKO defeat to Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.

According to Browne, he could be riding the pine for as long as 16 weeks.

“And they said I tore my hamstring, ill be out for 2-4 months. Luckily no surgery. Thank you again for your support. Ill be back stronger!” Browne tweeted.

It didn’t take Silva long to identify Browne’s wounded state. The Brazilian immediately went on the attack and “Hapa” wasn’t able to escape the vicious barrage of punches destined for his dome.

Browne was quickly making his way up the 265-pound totem pole prior to last week’s outing. The only other “blemish” on his résumé was in a draw against Cheick Kongo at UFC 120.

The 30-year-old now owns a 13-1-1 pro record. He’s finished off 11 of his victims in devastating fashion.
