UFC 153 Results: Anderson Silva decimates Stephan Bonnar, wins 16th straight in the UFC

Anderson Silva took his third fight in the light heavyweight division on Saturday night at UFC 153, and he became the first person in UFC history to stop Stephan Bonnar with strikes.

Bonnar came out trying to make the fight a grueling affair against the cage, trying to press the action in the clinch and trying to wear on Silva. Unfortunately for him, he was fighting Anderson Silva.

The UFC Middleweight Champion clinched with him for the first couple of minutes, and after eating a couple of strikes he decided to have some fun. He dropped his hands, allowed Bonnar to tee off on him, then landed a couple of strikes, then did it again. He continued clowning on Bonnar with his arms down and his back against the cage, resetting himself in the middle with his back on the cage more than once.

Then he pulled off a trip out of nowhere on Bonnar and sent him scrambling. As he rushed after he pressed Bonnar off the cage and unleashed a brutal knee right to the solar plexus and Bonnar crumpled to the canvas. A few strikes on the ground more was all that was needed, and Silva earned his 16th straight win in the UFC. Bonnar likely walks away from the sport with one more loss on his record, snapping a three fight winning streak.
