Bibiano Fernandes vs. Yoshiro Maeda and Melvin Manhoef vs. Denis Kang has been added to the DREAM 18 - GLORY 4 NYE Special
Two more MMA bouts have been added to the hybrid DREAM 18 and GLORY 4 card for New Year's Eve.
As reported earlier, ONE FC star, and current DREAM bantamweight champ, Bibiano Fernandes is set to compete at the card following a newly formed partnership between ONE Fighting Championship and GLORY. Today his opponent was announced and the #6 ranked bantamweight will be facing current DEEP champion, Yoshiro Maeda.
Fernandes is coming off a back and forth win against top Australian prospect, Gustavo Falciroli. Maeda on the other hand recently defended his DEEP title last August and will be looking for the upset against the talented Brazilian.
The second fight that has been added to the card is between popular fighters, Melvin Manhoef and Denis Kang who are set to clash in a middleweight contest.
Manhoef is coming off a brutal knockout win against Ryo Kawamura at ONE FC 6, and will be looking to make it three wins in a row when he faces off against the famous half-Korean. As for the UFC and PRIDE veteran in Kang, he hasn't looked that good as of late, but he did snap his 3-fight losing streak last June.
The card is also expected to have stars such as Shinya Aoki, Tatsuya Kawajiri, and Hiroyuki Takaya competing on the MMA portion of the event, along with a stacked 16-man one night kickboxing tournament filled with the sport's biggest stars.
