Dana White’s Controversial Cameo on ‘NFL FOX Sunday’ (Video)

UFC Dana White FOX

There’s an old adage in the marketing world that claims, “Any publicity is good publicity.” If that’s the case, UFC president Dana White (Pictured) hit a grand slam with his controversial cameo on yesterday’s “NFL FOX Sunday” pregame show, because White created quite the uproar with his brief four-second appearance.

In the skit headlined by comedian Rob Riggle, White played the role of a homeless person who pretended to have the inside scoop on NFL games.

“Cam Newton is pregnant. Ha ha ha ha,” White’s character stated.

It certainly wasn’t the funniest of lines, but it wasn’t what White said that caused an instant ruckus on the World Wide Web. It was what was written on the cardboard sign he was holding that irked many across a nation that’s been suffering through rough economic times.

“PLEASE HELP!! NEED FOOD A.K.A. BOOZE.”

Immediately after the clip aired, White was bombarded on his Twitter account by several disgruntled viewers. He responded to a few of them by suggesting they should get a sense of humor.

“The [p*****s] in this country who cry about everything everyone does makes me [f*****g] ill,” White wrote to one follower.

The UFC initially posted the above pic on their official Facebook page, but after receiving hundreds of heated comments from some their 9.6 million fans, the promotion promptly deleted the image from its timeline.

Unfortunately for White and the UFC, the damage had already been done.

If the mainstream world didn’t know the Octagon is hosting their final FOX show of 2012 this Saturday, they probably do now.

“UFC on FOX: Henderson vs. Diaz” takes place inside Key Arena in Seattle, Washington. A lightweight title tilt between champ Benson Henderson and Nate Diaz headlines the gig.
