It wasn’t long ago UFC fighters BJ Penn and Jon Fitch had a handful of verbal exchanges online in relation to fallout from a 2011 tilt between the two resulting in a Draw. The pair was then supposed to take part in a rematch though it ultimately never came to fruition due to some health issues on each side’s part. While the feud has died down since, it appears some bad blood still exists, as Fitch is alleged to have spoken out against the notion of Penn preparing for an upcoming bout at his home gym, American Kickboxing Academy.
Penn revealed the issue’s existence in a video blog focused on his training for Rory MacDonald at UFC 152, saying, “I’m trying to get up to AKA but Fitch is trying to give me some problems about that. All Jon Fitch has to do is look on the wall, at whose picture is on the wall holding the belt. That’s all Jon Fitch has to know.”

Fitch hasn’t come forward to elaborate on or even confirm the matter. Penn spent time at AKA years ago, hence his minor affiliation with the training center.
