Injured Lavar Johnson out of UFC on FOX 5

A pulled groin has forced Lavar “Big” Johnson to withdraw from his scheduled heavyweight bout against Brendan Schaub at UFC on FOX 5.

UFC officials announced that there would not be a replacement fight for the event which will continue with 12 bouts.

UFC on FOX 5 takes place on December 8th from the Key Arena in Seattle. Headlining the action is a lightweight title fight matching champion Ben Henderson against number one contender Nate Diaz.

The main card will be televised on FOX beginning at 8:00pm ET.
