Magalhaes (9-5) returns to the promotion after a three-year absence from the company. Since his departure, “Pezao” has put together a 7-1 run which saw him capture the M-1 Global Light Heavyweight Championship. After a lengthy contract dispute with the Russian based promotion, the Brazilian officially announced his UFC signing yesterday.
Pokrajac (25-8) comes into the cage on the strength of three-straight victories inside the octagon, including recent wins over Krzysztof Soszynski and Fabio Maldonado.
UFC 152 takes place September 22 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario and is anchored by Demetrious Johnson taking on Joseph Benavidez in the UFC Flyweight Tournament Finals, which will crown the promotion’s inaugural champion. Also prominently featured is a potential middleweight title eliminator between Michael Bisping and Brian Stann.
