Ryan Jimmo hopes seven-second KO at UFC 149 silences critics - for a while, anyway

CALGARY - Is there any way Ryan Jimmo's Saturday night could have been better?

The light heavyweight made his long-awaited UFC debut. He got to fight on the prelims on FX. He fought in front of his home crowd in Canada. And he bagged a UFC record-tying seven-second knockout.

The only way Jimmo's introduction to the UFC fan base could have been better is with a six-second KO, or a five. And that nearly was the case.
