Opportunity knocks. An injury to champion Dominick Cruz has opened the door for Renan Barao to fight for the interim bantamweight title against Urijah Faber at UFC 149. Barao (28-1, 1 NC) has put together an incredible 29 fight unbeaten streak including a 3-0 mark in the UFC. Barao welcomes the opportunity to face the former WEC champion Faber who describes as tough and a great athlete. Barao discusses the adversity he faced growing up in Brazil and the early years training at Nova Uniao.
UFC 149 takes place on July 21st from the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
