A broken toe has forced Anthony Perosh out of his scheduled light heavyweight bout against Joey “The Mexicutioner” Beltran at UFC on FX 6 on December 14th. Stepping in to replace Perosh in the fight will be Igor Pokrajac.
Pokrajac (25-9) will look to rebound from a second round submission defeat to Vinny Magalhaes at UFC 152. That loss snapped a three fight winning streak which saw Pokrajac record victories over Fabio Maldonado, Krzysztof Soszynski and Todd Brown. Pokrajac has 13 wins by knockout and 8 by submission to his credit.
The tough Beltran (14-8) is currently on his second stint in the UFC. He formerly competed at heavyweight but has now settled in as a light heavyweight. In his most recent outing Beltran lost a decision to James Te Huna at UFC on Fuel TV 4 in July. Beltran has recorded 11 of his career wins by way of knockout.
UFC on FX 6 takes place from the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Australia. The main event features a battle of The Ultimate Fighter Smashes coaches George Sotiropoulos and Ross Pearson.
