Ultimate Fighter 3 winner Kendall Grove is set to see action in a little more than a week when he collides with respected Polish pugilist Mamed Khalidov at KSW 21 in Warsaw. Khalidov was originally scheduled to face Melvin Manhoef at the December 1 event before the hard-hitting kickboxer was forced to withdraw due to injury.
News of the bout was confirmed by a KSW official in a conversation with Sherdog.
Grove will be going for his fourth win in a row at the show and his sixth instance of success in seven scraps since being cut by the UFC. “Da Spyder” is 17-10 in his career with past victories over the likes of Derek Brunson, Ed Herman, and Alan Belcher.
Though not a mainstream star, Khalidov has long been considered one of the top competitors outside of the UFC with a 25-4-2 record and 24 finishes to his credit. He is currently on a five-fight run including wins against Jesse Taylor, James Irvin, and Matt Lindland.
