Only the very sharp MMA fans will know the name Luiz Dorea, but if you pat attention to “The Ultimate Fighter” series you at the very least have seen him before. He is set to make his fourth appearance on the show, the second TUF he has done in Brazil, but you should know him as the head trainer for Junior dos Santos. Dos Santos took Cain Velasquez’s title from him at UFC On FOX 1, and they are now set to rematch at UFC 155. Dorea thinks it was a big mistake on the part of Velasquez to take this fight at this point in time and was happy to explain why.
Dorea told Sherdog:
“We are quiet, with a good team. It will be a great fight. Cain is a great athlete, no doubt, but he made a mistake by asking for this rematch so soon. Even though he is coming off a victory (against Silva), he was knocked out (by dos Santos). He’ll have to risk closing the distance against ‘Cigano,’ who is even better trained than that first fight. I think he made a huge mistake.”
