Two stand-out scrappers from past seasons of the Ultimate Fighter have agreed to head opposing teams on the UFC’s upcoming international version of the popular reality show pitting Australia against the United Kingdom. According to an official announcement, TUF 9 winner Ross Pearson will take the U.K. team’s reins against Aussie George Sotiropoulos (a semifinalist on TUF 8).
The UFC revealed the details last night during post-event coverage for UFC on Fuel 4. The season will start taping this week and features lightweights/welterweights competing for a tournament crown in their respective divisions.

The 13-6 Pearson will return to lightweight in order to face Sotiropoulos once the show has wrapped. His previous two tilts came at 145 pounds where he went 1-1 including a recent knockout loss to Cub Swanson.
Meanwhile, Sotiropoulos has been out of action for more than a year due to injury issues. He holds an overall record of 14-4 with eight submissions but stumbles is his last two outings.
