And then there was one. As in only one UFC 154 fight that hasn’t been OFFICIALLY announced after the planet’s premier mixed martial arts promotion added a light heavyweight affair between Cyrille Diabate (Pictured) Chad Griggs to the November 17th card.
Eleven of the lineup’s 12 bouts have now been made official.
Ironically, the only scrap not confirmed is the show’s featured attraction between welterweight king Georges St-Pierre and interim champ Carlos Condit. However, that title unification fight is all but a done deal.
Diabate looks to post back-to-back victories for the first time since May 2010. The 39-year-old veteran has alternated between wins and losses over his past five fights. “Snake” was most recently seen taking a majority decision over Tom DeBlass in April.
Griggs’ big league career got off to a rocky start. The former Strikeforce slugger was quickly submitted by Travis Browne at UFC 145.
Montreal’s Bell Centre hosts the festivities.
Here is the card’s current roster:
Rodrigo Damm vs. Antonio Carvalho
Ivan Menjivar vs. Azamat Gashimov
Chad Griggs vs. Cyrille Diabate
Stephen Thompson vs. Besam Yousef
Patrick Cote vs. Alessio Sakara
Rafael dos Anjos vs. Mark Bocek
Pablo Garza vs. Mark Hominick
Constantinos Philippou vs. Nick Ring
Sam Stout vs. John Makdessi
Francis Carmont vs. Tom Lawlor
Martin Kampmann and Johny Hendricks
Carlos Condit (UFC interim welterweight champion) vs. Georges St-Pierre (UFC welterweight champion)
