UFC on FX 6 Update: Event Heads to the Gold Coast

The UFC’s sixth foray on FX now has a home. The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre will play home to “UFC on FX 6.” The Broadbeach facility seats around 6,000 people. UFC officials announced the move earlier today.

The card will be headlined by a middleweight bout between Rousimar Palhares and Hector Lombard. The FX-card will also serve as the “TUF: Australia vs. UK” finale with TUF coaches Ross Pearson and George Sotiropoulos squaring off in addition to the show’s welterweight and lightweight finals.

The card recently received a light heavyweight scrap between Krzysztof Soszynski and Ednaldo Oliveira. Soszynski had originally planned to retire following a brutal UFC 140 loss but decided to return to the sport recently. Oliveira debuted at UFC 142 where he lost for the first time in his career to Gabreil Gonzaga at heavyweight.
