Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira And Fabricio Werdum Reportedly Agreed As Coaches for “TUF Brazil 2″

The second season of The Ultimate Fighter’s Brazilian expansion has seen a pair of veteran coaches sign on as Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Fabricio Werdum have reportedly agreed to take the helm for the season.

The Brazilian jiu jitsu experts are no strangers as they met during PRIDE’s 2006 Openweight Grand Prix in a bout that saw “Minotauro” outpoint his countryman.

Nogueira, who will be making his second coaching appearance,  is 6-4 since their last meeting, having held the interim UFC Heavyweight Championship and taking wins over the likes of Josh Barnett, Tim Sylvia, Randy Couture, and most recently Dave Herman at UFC 153 in Rio.

Werdum, who has shown great improvement in his muay Thai of late, is 8-3 since their last encounter, taking wins over notables such as Antonio Silva, Roy Nelson, and Fedor Emelianenko in one of the sport’s greatest upsets. “Vai Cavalo” most recently earned a TKO victory over Mike Rusow at UFC 147.

“TUF: Brazil 2″ is expected to feature welterweight fighters and begin filming early in the year with an expected debut in March 2013. Like the first season, the series will air on Globo in Brazil, while UFC.com and FUEL TV carry it on delay in the United States.
