Four more bouts have been confirmed for the rapidly filling UFC on FOX 6 event on January 26th.
The light heavyweight clash between Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Glover Teixeira is on once again. They were previously scheduled to serve as the co-main event of UFC 153 before an injury to Jackson scrapped the bout.
Jackson (32-10), a former light heavyweight champion, will be looking to put an end to a two fight skid. Teixeira (19-2) enters the bout on a tear having won 17 consecutive fights. He pummeled Fabio Maldonado for two rounds at UFC 153 before the fight was stopped by the cageside doctor.
Clay Guida will make the move from lightweight to featherweight to square off against Hatsu Hioki. Guida (29-13) had put together a four fight winning streak to put himself in the lightweight title picture. However, he has since dropped consecutive fights to Gray Maynard and Benson Henderson. Hioki (26-5-2) saw his six fight winning streak come to an end at UFC on FX 4 with a decision loss to Ricardo Lamas. Prior to the loss, Hioki had earned UFC wins over George Roop and Bart Palaszewski.
In another featherweight bout Ricardo Lamas will take on Erik Koch and Mike Russow will meet Shawn Jordan in a battle of heavyweights.
UFC on FOX 6 takes place from the United Center in Chicago. Flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson will put his title on the line against John Dodson in the main event of the evening.
