UFC welterweight king Georges St-Pierre returns to the Octagon tonight at UFC 154 to face off against interim title-holder Carlos Condit with only one man exiting with a divisional belt in tow. MAIN CARD (PPV / 10:00 PM EST)
Georges St-Pierre vs. Carlos Condit (welterweight-title unification)
Round 1
Gsp takes the center. Condit striking back though, and circles for some space. Both trading leg kicks. GSP shoots for the takedown against the fence, and gets Condit down. GSP moves to half guard, and Condit gets back and takes some shots from the top. Condit is rolling for subs, and GSP is landing some shots but nothing major from full guard. Condit being active from his back with strikes. Condit gets up before the round ends, and he is cut badly, bleeding alot.

GSP takes center again, and Condit is working from the outside again. and GSP is dodging shots well. GSP is stalking, and lands a big right hand on Condit. crowd chanting GSP, but Condit is backing GSP a bit. Condit jumps in for a knee and eats a big right hand. Condit throws a kick, and GSP catches it and takes Condit down. Hits him with another elbow, and the cut is even worse, and there is blood everywhere as GSP works from guard. Condit throwing elbows from his back, but GSP isn’t playing around. Condit scrambles up and they both go back and forth.

Round 3
GSP stalking again, and Condit lands a big headkick and gsp goes down, and Condit is pounding GSP from the top. Condit landing elbows, GSP is cut open, and scrambles up. GSP lands a shot to the chin, and picks Condit up and puts him down on his back. Crowd is going crazy. GSP working from top, but condit is staying busy from his back. Condit up against the cage, and GSP pounding on him. COndit rolls for a Kimura over a GSP take down, he doesn’t get it and ends up on bottom. GSP goes back to work, GSP moves to half and the round ends.

Round 4
Condit throws leg kicks early. GSP still coming forward. GSP closes the distance, and GSP takes Condit down. GSP working from full guard, but Condit is staying busy from the bottom. GSP takes ½ guard, but right back to full for Condit. Con dit almost frames up a knee bar, in a scramble, but GSP eeks out, and is back on top landing shots on Condit. Condit scrambles up, hits a switch on GSP, but GSP out grapples him again, and puts him on his back and works from the top on Condit.

Round 5:
All on the line for Condit, and he is coming forward. GSP is still coming forward, and landing solid leg kicks. Condit landing kicks now. GSP dives for a takedown, and Condit defends it. Condit lands a nice combination on GSP and backs him up. GSP bleeding again, and Condit is swinging to finish. GSP dives for a takedown, and gets Condit down, moves into ½ guard. GSP works from full guard, and grinding Condit around on the ground. GSP has Condit’s back for a second, but Condit rolls to safety. GSP finishes from to, but Condit was being very active from his back.

Hendricks takes the center, and MK clearly taller. Hendricks comes right out trying to land the left. Hendricks closes the distance, and knock Kampmann CLEAN out. he topples over.

Tom Lawlor vs. Francis Carmont
Round 1
Clear size advantage for Carmont. Lawlor crowds Carmont against the fence right away, and working his legs with the knees. Lawlor still pressing Carmont on the fence. Ref splits them up. Carmont starting to open up with kicks, and Lawlor presses Carmont against the fence again. Carmont frames up a kimura, and force Lawlor to break up. Lawlor back up on Carmont against the fence. Carmont now using his length to strike Lawlor. Carmont dives in for a takedown, Lawlor gets the guillotine-but can’t finish it the round ends.

Round 2
Carmont starting to kick the legs of Lawlor early, and is measuring him with the right hand. Carmont lands a huge knee to the body of Lawlor. Lawlor clinches, has Carmont on the fence. Lawlor does nothing with it. Carmont breaks it up, and is stalking Lawlor. Lawlor has no answer for the takedown defense of Carmont, still against the cage. Lawlor finally pulls Carmont to the floor. Lawlor scrambles and Carmont gets back up still clinched on the fence. Lawlor gets the take down, and in a scramble-Lawlor takes Carmont’s neck again. Carmont sneaks out, and ends punching.

Lawlor coming forward early in the round, but Carmont is keeping Lawlor on the outisde. Lawlor dives for another takedown, and pressed against the fence. Ref breaks them up. Carmont working from the outside, and is landing shots. Lawlor presses Carmont against the cage again, and Carmontis landing elbows as he commits to the takedown. Rinse wash and repeat for Lawlor I guess. Carmont breaks away, and is coming forward with 90 seconds left. Carmont opening up the kicks. Lawlor looks tired. Lawlor comes forward, and lands a combination.

Mark Bocek vs. Rafael dos Anjos
Round 1
Bocek forward early, but dos Anjos interested in clinch fighting.dos Anjos doing a lot of dancing, but jumping in and out to strike. Bocek ducks for a takedown but dos Anjos defends it. Bocek has dos Anjos against the fence, and committed to the takedown. dos Anjos landing huge knees and Bocek forced to let go. Bocek throwing looping punches, that don’t seem to land on dos Anjos. Bocek crowds dos Anjos and gets him back up against the cage, but again dos Anjos fights out and starts to land more shots. dos Anjos throws a kick, and Bocek dives right back in for the takedown. Bocek can’t get it to the floor.

dos Anjos clearly the fresher fighter and Bocek comes out and lands a kick right to the groin of dos Anjos. Back to fighting, Bocek still coming forward, and now dos Anjos gets the takedown. Bocek is bleeding from the mouth. In a scramble, dos Anjos has a hold of a kimura, but Bocek scrambles out of it. Bocek is cut under his right eye, and he scrambles to his feet. dos Anjos is just pushing around Bocek on the feet. Bocek dives for a takedown. dos Anjos defends and gets one of his own. dos Anjos is on Bocek’s back beating him like a drum, and trying to take his back. Bocek scrambles to his feet, and dos Anjos pulls him right back down.

dos Anjos clearly the fresher fighter, but Bocek is game and coming forward. dos Anjos defending the takedowns effortlessly. Bocek can’t get it down. dos Anjos picks up Bocek and slams him down. Bocek took a few punches and scrambled back up. Still all dos Anjos. Bocek is avoiding shots going straight back, and thats probably not smart against dos Anjos. dos Anjos now landing combinations when he’s coming forward. Bocek has no answer for dos Anjos. Ref breaks up the stalemate, and both coming forward. dos Anjos is still looking like he can run a race.

Mark Hominick vs. Pablo Garza
Round 1
Hominick forward early, bu PG is stepping up and throwing too. PG clearly wants to use the long reach. Both fighters exchanging and they are both coming out even. Just as Hominick lands a solid flurry, PG storms back with solid knees. Hominick is chasing PG, and landing more, but PG continues to plant and throws. Big overhand from Hominick that stuns Garza. Garza goes for the takedown but Hominick lands on top in an arm bar. Hominick escapes and lands ground and pound. PG gets to his feet. Hominick lands a viscous hook to the body that floors PG. Hominick lands ground and pound PG gets up. Garza lands a huge elbow that opens Hominick up and he is coming forward. Close round.

Garza dancing around with kids after an exchange, Garza gets the fight to the floor, and ends up in the guard of Hominick. Hominick tieing up nicely. Garza working elbows from inside the guard, and has Hominick pressed up against the cage. Garza postures up and lands a nice flurry, and Garza is starting to overwhelm Hominick on the floor. Hominick shuffles for a submission, but Garza slips out and continues to thump Hominick. Blood flowing into Hominick’s eyes, and Garza is just slicing him up with these elbows.

Hominick is coming forward, and putting pressure on Garza. Garza dives in and gets the takedown, and Garza goes back to work with the elbows. Here comes the blood again. Garza is doing such enough on the ground to avoid the stand up, and he is continuing to mark up Hominick. Hominick really has no answer for Garza on the ground. Hominick scrambles to his feet, but Garza pulls him right back down. Garza is now in half guard, and landing more shots. Hominick throws up his legs for a submission but Garza gets out. as the round ends.

Patrick Cote vs. Alessio Sakara
Round 1
Cote coming forward, but everyone is still feeling each other out. Cote lands a solid shot and hurt Sakara. Cote swarming forward and Sakara counters and backs Cote up against the fence. Sakara lands two elbows over the top that drop Cote. With Cote around his knees Sakara lands hammer fists, and at least two or three land to the back of the head. Mirgliotta stopped the fight. Possible DQ coming.

Cyrille Diabate vs. Chad Griggs
Round 1
Griggs here, first time at 205. Griggs comes running, and Diabate drops him with a right. Diabate works from the top, but Griggs escapes. Griggs pops up, Diabate pulls him back down as working from side mount. Griggs already cut up and gets up. Griggs almost gets up and Diabate lands a nice knee. After a scramble on the ground, Diabate takes the back and gets the rear naked choke.

John Makdessi vs. Sam Stout
Round 1
Stout taking the center, but Makdessi gets the better of an early exchange. Stout still the aggressor, and Makdessi is definitely looking to counter. Makdessi lands a solid jab, and caught Stout coming in on over hand right. Makdessi enjoying the benefits of the jab, but Stout is still coming forward. Stout is coming forward and occasionally landing, but he will land one out of three. Makdessi is doing a great job surprising Stout with a real stiff jab, and its really keeping Stout guessing. Makdessi is having his way with Stout on the feet.

Round 2:
Stout coming out excited and throwing, and is the one coming forward. Makdessi the fresher of the two. Stout calming down, and Makdessi is just waiting on him to counter. Stout comes close with a takedown, but Makdessi is right back up. Stout picking up the pace, and is outlanding Makdessi so far in the round.Right when Stout gains momentum, Makdessi starts getting the timing again on the jab. Stout is coming forward with his straight up, and it doesn’t seem smart. Stout dives for a single leg, almost gets it-but Makdessi slips out.

Round 3
Both fighters are picking up the pace, Stout initially gets the better of the exchanges. However, Makdessi comes right back with landing more jabs. Makdessi is taking advantage of Stout coming forward, and Makdessi clearly has Stout figured out. Stout is being the more aggressive, and throwing more strikes-but Makdessi is almost always getting the better. Brief pause for groin strike to Stout. Mostly ones and twos from both guys. Stout dives in for take down doesn’t get it. Fighters have one more flurry and round ends.

Mark Bocek vs. Rafael dos Anjos
PRELIMINARY CARD (Facebook / 6:00 PM EST)
Antonio Carvalho vs. Rodrigo Damm
Round 1
Both fighters feeling each other out. Carvalho looks pretty relaxed. Damm comes forward with a quick one two, but it was nothing to worry about. Both trading leg kicks, but Carvalho getting the better of the battle there. two bjj guys, standing and trading..not ugly striking, but far from crisp. Carvalho really working on the legs of Damm, and they are showing the damage. Damm lands a stiff jab as the round ends.

Round 2
Carvalho goes right back to the legs of Damm. Damm already slowing down from the damage to his leg. Damm is having some success with a front kick, and Carvalho slips to his back. Very slow going in the round, and Carvalho is going to town on the legs of Damm. Damm is having spurts, but nothing is landing solid. Crowd isn’t enjoying this one. Damm with a flurry at the end, and Carvalho lands a leg kick at the bell.

Round 3:
Carvalho continues with the leg clicks, and Damm reaches toward a take down that looks desperate. Damm having some success for a one two, and Carvalho’s mouthpiece comes out. Back to fighting Damm comes out swinging, and Carvalho starting to realize he needs to pick up the pace. Carvalho having success with an overhand left, and keeps working the leg kicks. Both fighters just throwing one strike at a time, mostly leg kicks, Carvalho still winning that battle. 30 seconds left and neither fighter is doing anything, a slow end of the round.
