Hector Lombard vs. Rousimar Palhares slated for UFC on FX 6 in Australia

The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to Australia on Friday, December 14th for UFC on FX 6. UFC president Dana White tweeted the news on Friday along with a match-up of Hector Lombard and Rousimar Palhares.

Lombard (31-3-1) will look to rebound from a disappointing showing in his promotional debut against Tim Boetsch at UFC 149. Boetsch would earn a split decision victory which put an end to Lombard’s 25 fight unbeaten streak. Lombard has fought extensively in Australia while competing for the Cage Fighting Championship promotion.

Palhares (14-4) will look to rebound from a first round technical knockout loss to Alan Belcher at UFC on FOX 3. Prior to the loss, Palhares had won three straight fights and six of his last seven overall. Palhares, a heel-hook specialist, has recorded ten of his career wins by submission.
