Erik Kock has been forced to withdraw from his UFC Featherweight Title shot against Jose Also at UFC 153 due to a knee injury suffered in training. <Br><br>
Fortunately for fans a suitable replacement opponent has been found and that is none other than former UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar.<Br><Br>
News of the bout came via USA Today who spoke with UFC President Dana White "Obviously, we've had a rough couple of weeks here at the UFC, and then sure enough, I walk in to work today, and Erik Koch is hurt," White told USA TODAY Sports. "But Frankie Edgar, being the stud and the warrior that he is, steps up and accepts this fight."<Br><Br>
Ariel Helwani tweeted that Koch was devastated with the injury after speaking to one of his trainers.<Br><Br>
UFC 153 takes places October 13th in Brazil.<Br><Br>
