After suffering a recent knockout at the hands of Chris Weidman in July, Mark Munoz’s desire for a quick turnaround and grudge match with Hector Lombard will ostensibly go unfulfilled as the top middleweight has suffered a foot injury that will keep him out of action for the rest of the year. “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” may actually be out for a full calendar year, depending on the severity of the injury.
According to Munoz, he was training for his Weidman bout with Jason “Mayhem” Miller when he “got his foot caught and possibly broke it.” The Reign MMA product will be getting an MRI this week to evaluate the damage.
