Tyrone Spong has a kickboxing record of 68-6-1 and 1 no contest and is without exception one of the most dangerous men in the sport. Fans always wondered how Spong would do inside the cage, and they finally got their wish. Spong dismantled Travis Bartlett (7-3) in 3:15 of the first round at WSOF 1. Spong picked apart Bartlett and Bartlett was in danger almost the entire duration of the light heavyweight bout.
Spong took to twitter to thank his team and his fans and proceeded to call out boxing heavyweight Vitali Klitschko :
@tyrone_spong: Great win 4 me 2nite but I would like 2 fight Mr Klitschko & round out my wins.
Spong’s manager Glenn Robinson confirmed that it was a fight they wanted via bloodyelbow.com:
Oh, he’ll knock out either. I think Wladimir has a fight, so Vitali is the more logical choice. Tyrone wants to make it very clear that he wants an opportunity to knock out Klitschko. If he’s the tough fighter that he always says he is, then he will have no problem getting into the ring with Tyrone Spong.
